The WhatsApp Chatbot “Bohém Cestovatel” is an innovative project created in collaboration between Bohemind and Callindo. Its aim is to use modern technology to provide quick and useful information for travelers and tourists planning to visit Indonesia.

If you are looking for tips about the best diving spots, advice on traveling around Bali, or interested in finding the tastiest “nasi goreng” in Canggu “Bohém Cestovatel” will gladly answer these and many other questions, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!

Our chatbot supports the Czech and Slovak community in Indonesia with not only general information but also includes personal experiences and recommendations from Czechs and Slovaks who live in or travel through Indonesia. Thanks to our ambassadors, we have gathered valuable information and tips that are not commonly available online. Our information database is regularly reviewed and updated.

Ambassadors of project 

The project collaborates with ambassadors, volunteers, and Indonesia experts who are eager to share their experiences, knowledge, and tips with other travelers to Indonesia. The entire project is non-profit, and ambassadors are not compensated for their contributions.

Filip Altman

Filip has been living on Bali for several years, where he found his second home. Bali charmed him with its tranquility and friendly people. This tropical paradise has allowed him to combine work and a lifestyle that fulfills him. He enjoys exploring lesser-known places on the island, learning about local traditions and sharing these experiences with others.

Olga Fadli Pětivoká

Indonesia has absorbed Olga with the depth and diversity of Wayang stories. It combines a cross-cultural environment with innovative approaches to the development of the creative economy and coastal ecology. She is a creative coach and lecturer of Indonesian and Czech for foreigners. Educator and technologist of creative and design construction objects. Performer of Indonesian art and Pencak Silat.

Prof. Ing. David Herák, Ph.D.

Prof. Ing. David Herák, Ph.D. is vice-dean for international relations and professor at the Department of Mechanics and Mechanical Engineering of the Czech University of Applied Sciences in Prague. He focuses on the application of agricultural technologies in tropical areas and the development of digital agriculture. For more than 20 years, he has participated in scientific projects focused on the processing of agricultural products, especially in Indonesia, but also in other countries such as Cambodia, Ethiopia or Turkey. He coordinates summer schools in Indonesia and is a visiting professor at international universities. He is a member of the European Physical Society and the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and serves on the editorial boards of scientific journals. Petr Hindrich

Petr Hindrich settled in Indonesia in 2009 because of his passion for surfing, and five years later he founded the non-profit organization Yayasan Green Books Indonesia focused on environmental education. It cooperates with education authorities and primary schools, develops educational programs and trains teachers. The biggest impact is the program aimed at reducing the consumption of single-use plastics and sorting waste – the Sekolah Nol Sampah Program. Petr lives in Bali, where he and his Javanese wife raise their son Rimba.

Nicolle Karešová

Nicolle spent 10 years in Indonesia, where her three children grew up. For years, she and her family tried intensively to know this beautiful country, they visited well-known and also not so known places. Indonesia is her second home and she will always be happy to return with her family. With her family, they are enthusiastic travelers, active divers, they like to walk in the mountains, ride bicycles, the children fell into surfing. In Jakarta, Nicolle took advantage of the opportunity to become a volunteer guide in the national museum and thus penetrate more deeply into the history of this fascinating country. She looks forward to share experiences from travel around Indonesia and from everyday life. She shares many insights on the website Jakartaexpats.

Kamil Krč

Kamil is a former professional soldier. He made his first visit to Indonesia in 2014. Since then, it has been in his memory. In the meantime, he visited over 50 countries in the world to experience the conditions of other cultures and traditions. In the past, he created a project in Bali to help local residents, with whom he now spends most of his time. He is currently working on the topic of the level of quality of life abroad outside the Czech Republic. In Bali, he connects people with similar activities. With his life story, he tries to motivate others not to be afraid to make big decisions in life.

Tomáš Ouhel

Tomáš studied religious studies at the University of Pardubice and international development studies at Palacký University. He lives alternately in the Czech Republic and Indonesia, where he dedicates to the protection of biodiversity and business. He works as a consultant at the Liberec Zoo and lectures at universities. Since 2019, he has been a researcher at Shyiah Kuala University and vice-chairman of the ASIP Climate Commission in South Korea.

PhDr. Tomáš Petrů, Ph.D

Tomáš Petrů is a specialist for Indonesian and Malaysian studies working in Prague. He is a researcher at the Oriental Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. In the past, he founded and headed the Department of Asian Studies at the Metropolitan University of Prague (2009-2014). Since 2013, he has been lecturing on history, religion and politics in Southeast Asia at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. He is the co-author of the book History of Indonesia (NLN, 2005) and the author of two dozen publications on Indonesia and Malaysia. He founded the Southeast Asian popularization website  Newmoonsoon. Since 2003, he has been working as a court translator and interpreter.

František Příbrský

František is a field zoologist and animal conservationist. He works for the Ostrava Zoo as the head of the nature conservation department and for the Ústí nad Labem Zoo as an external consultant for nature conservation. He lives between Indonesia, the Philippines, and the Czech Republic. In 2014, together with Lucie Čižmářová, he founded the Kukang rescue program in Sumatra to combat illegal trade in endangered animals such as pangolins and slow lorises. The project collaborates with the local community – it educates children about nature conservation in “Kukang school,” employs former poachers as rangers, and also supports farmers in sustainable cultivation of “Kukang Coffee“. In recent years, they have also been actively fighting against animal smugglers. František’s current passion and next challenge is a conservation series about the role of zoos in nature conservation called “Briefly on Earth: Zoo Modern Animal Guardian,” which was also filmed in Indonesia and in which he serves as the host.

Jana Wolfová

She graduated with a master’s degree in general history and theory of art, majoring in theater studies at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University in Prague. She studied traditional Balinese dance and shadow theater at the Institute of Arts in Indonesia for two years. Since then, she has been returning to Indonesia every year. In 2006, she founded the Kintari Foundation Association, which presents the culture of Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries in the Czech Republic and thereby obtains the necessary funds to support the education of poor children in Indonesia, where Kintari runs several schools and a kindergarten in Lombok. She and her husband traveled not only to SE Asia, but also to a number of countries in Africa, Europe and America. In recent years, they have been going on adventurous trips around the world with their three children.
